TNA Top 50 Matches 2010
Hello Headyverse! The name Is Nikhil also known as ?The? Nikhil on the board. So, this year TNA have come under a lot of criticism with the same ratings, the Monday night failed experiment ,the still lacklustre booking and amongst other things. However I remember I am a wrestling fan. So From this Year I give you the top fifty TNA matches in my mind. Agree or disagree I don?t mind, but the following 50 matches below me were the ones that impressed me in my eyes.

50. TNA iMPACT December 23rd
EIGHT MAN TAG TEAM MATCH FOR THE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS
Rob Van Dam & Matt Morgan & Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin defeated Jeff Hardy & The Monster Abyss & Robert Roode & James Storm: It was a strange stipulation with Team Machine Guns Facing Team Immortal, however if you remove the stip. This match was a great 12 minute main event for iMPACT. The ending was full of great moves finishing with Sabin pinning Robert Roode after a tornado DDT of the top rope. There was even a back-story with Rob Van Dam yet to gain revenge on his ex-friend Jeff Hardy, eventually they will collide at a later date.
49. TNA Impact January 4th
X-DIVISION STEEL ASYLUM MATCH
Alex Shelley vs. Chris Sabin vs. Homicide vs. Kiyoshi vs. Jay Lethal vs. Consequences Creed vs. SUICIDE vs. Amazing Red: The biggest night of TNA history as Hulk Hogan was scheduled to debut later on a live special 3 hour episode on Monday night facing WWE Raw who had their very own Bret Hart returning. To start the show off and grab new viewers,TNA would need to showcase the X-Division stars in a steel asylum. However five minutes into the match Homicide used a baton knocking out everyone and the crowd got pissed off ,however suddenly, music started hitting and suddenly we saw JEFF HARDY come out of the crowd and he attacked Homicide and finished him off with a twist of fate on the ramp and then climbing the asylum, sitting at the top looking over the crazy impact zone crowd. It was a bad way to end the match, however grabbing Jeff Hardy from WWE was a really great moment for TNA!
48. TNA iMPACT March 8th
TNA X-DIVISION TITLE 3-WAY MATCH
Doug Williams defeated Kazarian and Christopher Daniels to retain the TNA X-Division title: A really good x-division match on the first live episode of TNA iMPACT on Monday nights. The action was hard to follow and this was what the X-Division is supposed to be about. Doug Williams picked up the win after hitting the rolling chaos theory on Daniels, while Kazarian was down in the corner.
47. Genesis
TNA X-DIVISION TITLE MATCH
Amazing Red defeated Brian Kendrick to retain the TNA X-Division title: The first match in the Hogan/Bischoff era on a PPV and in the returning 4-sided ring. Amazing Red did not know who is opponent would be and it was the returning Brian Kendrick, previously wrestling as Spanky in 2005. A pure athletic match between two fine individuals, with Red retaining the title after hitting the ?code red? on Kendrick for the pin fall.

46. TNA Reaction November 18th (EMPTY ARENA TAG TEAM MATCH)
The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) defeated Generation Me (Max & Jeremy Buck): To add some realism into TNA, they have a new program called Reaction giving time for stars to be interviewed and get there ?reactions? after a match or announcement. This match was where you could actually feel the stiffness in both of these tag teams with eachother,it finished with the Guns giving a deadly double team super-kick to Max Buck to finish them off. The reality was that the action was deadly between the teams and it was no-holds barred with reality taking a big input into this match.
45. Bound For Glory
TAG TEAM HANDICAP MATCH
Kevin Nash & Sting & Pope D?Angelo Dinero defeated Jeff Jarrett & Samoa Joe: Sting and Kevin Nash believed there was a conspiracy within TNA that Hogan or Bischoff were planning a coup of some sorts within TNA, however they never explained what it was, realising something was happening the Pope joined them as they believed Miss Teesmocker had the answers. Jeff Jarrett and Samoa Joe believed Nash and Sting were jealous that they were being pushed aside and stars like Samoa Joe himself, Jay Lethal, The Motor City Machine Guns were the new talent rising to the main event scene. Sting then challenged Hulk Hogan to return to the ring at Bound For Glory where the truth would be revealed, however Hulk Hogan had a back injury ruled him out, so Jeff Jarrett and Samoa Joe represented him .So we were set Team Nash v Team Jarrett. Unfortunately this ?conspiracy? began to unravel as Jeff Jarrett left Samoa Joe and walked out on him. Kevin Nash and his team then beat Joe and got the win after a jack-knife powerbomb. The next iMPACT: Kevin Nash and Sting rejected to be part of this ?Immortal? and the Wolfpac walked out on TNA and Rockhead Carter
44. Lockdown Tag Team Match
FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE STREET FIGHT STEEL CAGE MATCH
Team 3-D (Brothers Ray & Devon) defeated The Band (Kevin Nash & Scott Hall): Ten years ago, we would of love to have seen this match. Now not too sure, however in its own way the NWO v Dudleyz is a match everyone wants to see and we got it in a street fight around the crazy St Louis crowd. Team 3D and The Band going through the crowd hitting each other with a list of numerous objects including beer cups. The ending came with Team 3D giving Scott Hall 3D through a table and the win.
43. TNA iMPACT March 29th
SIX MAN TAG TEAM STEEL CAGE MATCH
Eric Young & Rob Van Dam & Jeff Hardy defeated The Wolfpac (Kevin Nash & Scott Hall & Sean Waltman): Eric Young was brayed by Kevin Nash at Destination X as the wolfpac reunited, he decided to get Jeff Hardy and RVD to be his tag team partners. Within the opening minutes Young was knocked outside busted wide open, while in the ring Hardy and RVD were being dismantled, however they began to fight back. The finish came with all of Team Eric Young giving there finishes simultaneously to the Band: RVD giving Hall the 5 star frog splash, Jeff Hardy giving Kevin Nash the Swanton bomb and off the top of the cage Eric Young giving a elbow down to Syxx Pac for the 1-2-3!
42. TNA iMPACT March 22nd
TAG TEAM MATCH
Rob Van Dam & Jeff Hardy defeated Beer Money Inc. (Robert Roode & James Storm): A huge tag team main event for this live edition of iMPACT. What a fantastic tag team match between 4 real good athletes. Around the midpoint Beer Money gained control by taking out Hardy for a while, however finally RVD got the tag, after a series moves on one another Hardy surprised Roode with a Twist of Fate. RVD hit Rolling Thunder on Roode. Hardy then hit the Swanton. A second later RVD hit the Frog Splash and scored the pin. Great, and long, match!
41. TNA iMPACT January 14th
TAG TEAM MATCH
Generation Me (Max & Jeremy) defeated The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley): What a way for Generation me to make their debut with a really good clean pinfall over the well established Guns. Gen Me it the moonsault/legdrop finisher on Sabin for the pin count. It is the first of many classic encounters between the two teams for the next twelve months.
40. TNA iMPACT June 10th
EIGHT MAN TAG TEAM MATCH
A.J. Styles & Desmond Wolfe & Robert Roode & James Storm defeated Jay Lethal & Abyss (w/Chelsea) & Mr. Anderson & Jeff Hardy: Heading into Slammiversary with all four these opponents facing each other in some way,it was best to have a8 man tag match and the end was abouslutely brilliant in which you could not tell who was going to win. After Hardy got the tag to Lethal who began to clean house, Roode tries to interfere, but Lethal clotheslines him down, then kicks Storm and dropkicks Wolfe off the apron. He Back Body Drops AJ, then tosses him up in the air and nails him with a Neck Breaker. Wolfe breaks up the cover at two, then DDTs Lethal. Anderson comes in and Oklahoma Rolls Wolfe, Storm Superkicks Anderson, Hardy Twist of Fates Storm, Roode Spine Busters Hardy, Abyss Choke Slams Roode, and then Wolfe takes Abyss down with his killer lariat. Wolfe yells for Chelsea to give him her chair now, but she's hesitant. The time delay is enough for Abyss to get up, and he punches the chair back into Wolfe. AJ comes back into the ring and nails Abyss with his Springboard Flying Forearm. Lethal tries to springboard into some move on AJ, but Styles catches him with a Power Bomb and hits the Styles Clash for the win. Pure awesome!

39. Destination X
TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH
TNA World Heavyweight champion A.J. Styles w/Ric Flair vs. ?The Monster Abyss? ended in a No Contest: Whatcha gonna do when Abyssmania runs wild on you? This is exactly what happened as Abyss with the influence of Hogan?s ring suddenly began to up his game and start to take control and then choke slammed A.J. Styles through the ring ! Desmond Wolfe came out and Hogan and Abyss doubled teamed Desmond Wolfe who tripped behind Flair and fell into the ?Abyss?,Flair then followed him into the hole.
38.TNA Impact December 23rd
TNA TELEVISION TITLE ?15-MINUTE IRON MAN? MATCH
TNA Television champion Doug Williams vs. A.J. Styles ended in a draw: A.J. Styles got the first fall and wisely ran down the clock like a true heel. Williams hit the Rolling Chaos Theory suplex with 20 seconds left on the clock and got the pinfall to even the score! This was a brilliant match between the two which had me on the edge of my seat. Expect another claasic at Genesis!
37. Sacrifice
The Charismatic Enigma? Jeff Hardy defeated Mr. Anderson: After Mr. Anderson attacked the Pope, putting him out of action, Hardy challenged Anderson to a match at Sacrifice. Hardy accepted on his behalf. 3 days before the PPV ,Hardy gave Mr. Anderson Swanton-bomb through the table on iMPACT. A good spot during the match was when, Hardy back-dropped Anderson over the top rope onto the elevated stage. Hardy recovered and ran down the ramp knocking Anderson back into the ring. The finish came when Mr. Anderson went for the Green Bay Plunge but fell on his face instead. Hardy climbed to the top rope and hit the Swanton-bomb for the victory! Anderson got up and offered to shake Hardy?s hand ? but Hardy wisely declined to shake hands. The team became known as the ?Charismatic assholes?.
36.No Surrender
I QUIT MATCH
TNA Television champion A.J. Styles defeated Tommy Dreamer: One of my favourite Dreamer matches in a long time, this was a 20 minute brawl which was one of the best matches on the PPV. A very impressive performance by both men, weapons such as kendo sticks and forks were used. Styles made Dreamer quit after stabbing him with a fork in his eye!
35. Destination X
#1 CONTENDERS LADDER 4-WAY for the X-Division Title
(Frankie) Kazarian defeated Brian Kendrick and (Christopher) Daniels and Amazing Red:Holy shit was this good, Destination X was the all X-Division PPV.This match had so many sports at various levels of danger, so much action and some really good wrestling between the 4. All four men completed a series of amazing spots at various levels of danger. One crazy spot was when Kendrick set up a ladder across the guard rail and the edge of the ring. Kazarian ended up on the ladder and Daniels did a split-legged moonsault onto him! Daniels stood on the ladder, but was taken down by a Hurricanrana by Red. The iMPACT Zone went crazy!
34. Turning Point
TNA WORLD TAG TEAM TITLES/TEAM 3D RETIREMENT MATCH
The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley) defeated Team 3-D (Brothers Ray & Devon) to retain the TNA World Tag Team titles: If this was Team 3D?s last match as a tag team, I was really impressed by this match especially by them. They have been my favourite tag tam for around ten years, they got me into TNA. A really good 18 minute match with the Guns, a few really good spots including a table. The Guns got a clean win after the neck breaker/frog-splash combination onto Brother Devon. Really impressive showing between the 4,considering there has been a lot of critics regarding 3D about their matches being lacklustre.
33.TNA iMPACT April 19th
Team Hogan (Abyss & Jeff Jarrett & Rob Terry & Samoa Joe) defeated Team Flair (Sting & Desmond Wolfe & Beer Money Inc. (Robert Roode & James Storm): A re-match between the two teams with RVD/Hardy facing each other earlier, Team Hogan needed some firepower and well they got it when Samoa Joe?s music hit ,the crowd went wild and he did too, giving Storm a suplex, kick to Sting ,clothesline to Wolfe and a muscle buster to Robert Roode for the victory. It reminded me of the old Samoa Joe when he came out and kicked ass!
32. August 12th
?Whole F?in Show?
TOP 10 CHALLENGE CAREER THREATENING MATCH
Kurt Angle defeated A.J. Styles by submission: At the time i was in Orlando for a holiday and well i was definitely going to see TNA and well luckily enough I got to see these two of my favourite wrestlers put on a really good match, it was quite short however and not better then there one at Geneiss, however it was still one of my favourite matches.
31.TNA Impact March 8th
Rob Van Dam defeated Sting: The debut of Rob Van Dam, Sting never knew who was his opponent and well the crowd went crazy when the words ?RVD? came on the screen and the music hit.RVD came from behind, hit the rolling thunder and got the win in 9 seconds. RVD is in TNA!
30. Against All Odds
8 Card Stud Tournament
Pope defeated Mr. Anderson: The 8 card stud tourney was a one night event and the winner facing the TNA champion at Lockdown. The Pope beat Desmond Wolfe and Matt Morgan, while Anderson beat Kurt Angle and Abyss. The Pope was attacked backstage by the Band. The Pope however rose to the challenge and got the win and was now the number 1 contender for the TNA title after Anderson missed the Kenton-bomb the Pope hit the DDE for the win, it came to a shock for me.
29.TNA iMPACT June 24th
TOP 10 CHALLENGE CAREER THREATENING MATCH
#10 Kurt Angle defeated #9 Desmond Wolfe w/Chelsea by submission: No need to tell you about these two after they had two unbelievable matches near the fall of 2009,this match was not so good as the others, but for a 10minute free TV bout it was great.
28.Victory Road
Top 10 Challenge Career Threatening Match
Kurt Angle defeated the #8 ranked Pope D?Angelo Dinero by submission: Another Kurt Angle career threatening match, no surprise there. I was impressed by the Pope with this match as he and Angle really gelled together. It was a good match and the two knew the match was ended they shook hands, knowing they both put in a pretty good performance.
27.Lockdown
TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE STEEL CAGE MATCH
A.J. Styles w/Ric Flair defeated Pope D?Angelo Dinero to retain the TNA World Heavyweight title: This match was hyped behind the Lethal Lockdown and Angle/Anderson match. However I believe this match was worth in the top 30 list. It was one of Pope?s best outings, with A.J. Styles giving his best aswell, especially diving from the top of the cage looking for a cross-body however the Pope moved, he got such a near fall, however the win came when A.J. Styles grabbed a pen like the nature boy would poked The Pope in the eye and hit the styles-clash for the win.

26. Victory Road
?Black Machismo? Jay Lethal defeated ?The Nature Boy? Ric Flair: For the 4 weeks prior to building this mat6ch up, we saw some of the best promo?s by two of these men especially the famous ?wooing? at each other and Jay Lethal?s impersonation of Ric Flair.. Considering Flair?s age he really can wrestle and for Jay Lethal this was a dream come true facing his idol. The technical side this match was okay and not very special, however Imp putting it so high up because I thought the build for this match was good and it was executed very well at the PPV.
25. TNA Impact March 8th-
NO DISQUALIFICATION TAG TEAM MATCH
Hulk Hogan & Abyss defeated A.J. Styles & Ric Flair: What a way to start TNA on Monday mights, these 4 in a tag team unfortunately the first bought Sting Came out and beat the hell out of Hogan and Abyss, but later on there was a rematch between the tag teams with Abyss inning A.J Styles after the black hole slam, soon after Desmond Wolfe, The Pope all came out and the faces being over-run until JEFF HARDY made his return to TNA and he cleaned house giving A.J. Styles the swanton-bomb,he was now truly in TNA.
24. TNA iMPACT April 19th
#1 CONTENDERS MATCH WORLD TITLE
Rob Van Dam defeated Jeff Hardy: This was shown on free TV during a live episode of impact, it was a 12 minute bout which I enjoyed and RVD got the win after a 5 star frog splash which would go a long way for him later that night.
23. TNA Impact April 19th
TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH
Rob Van Dam defeated A.J. Styles to win the TNA World Heavyweight title: I will be honest, I was disappointed RVD won the belt, because I really thought A.J. Styles was getting into his groove becoming a young nature boy. However for this to happen on TNA and end A.J.?S title 7 month reign it was pretty big by TNA?s newest acquisition. It was a really good moment however for RVD after the match Rockhead Carter, Hulk Hogan, Eric Bisichoff,Jeff Hardy and Team 3d came down to congratulate him.
22.TNA Impact January 4th
TNA KNOCKOUT TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH
Awesome Kong & Hamada defeated Taylor Wilde & Sarita to win the TNA Knockout Tag Team titles!: Holy shit was this awesome for a woman match, a ten minute tag team match on the January 4th special and this was a freaking insane match wand it truly showed woman?s wrestling is better in TNA. It?s sad now that ¾ of these Knockouts are now gone from TNA because it could have been really pushed and made it different from WWE.
21.Bound For Glory
LETHAL LOCKDOWN
EV2.0 (Tommy Dreamer & Stevie Richards & Raven & Rhino & Sabu w/Mick Foley) defeated Fortune (A.J. Styles & Frankie Kazarian & Robert Roode & James Storm & Matt Morgan w/Ric Flair): The old has been v future of TNA. After having their own PPV, Fortune decided to kick ass and feud with EV2( old ECW guys). I was surprised with the result of this match, because now EV 2 doesn?t exist, however for a Lethal Lockdown and a last time match reunion for the old ECW boys, it was good. The win came when Dreamer gave A.J. Styles a tommy-driver of the top rope onto a trashcan.
20.TNA iMPACT September 16th
TNA TITLE TOURNAMENT SEMI-FINAL REMATCH
Kurt Angle vs. Jeff Hardy ended in a double-pin draw:
Two weeks after their amazing match at the PPV,they had to do it all over again. It was much shorter however it very well executed, it had some real exciting spots. However the booking of the match for the end was pretty bad.
19. TNA iMPACT April 5th
LADDER MATCH FOR THE KEY TO THE LOCKDOWN CAGE
Mr. Anderson defeated Kurt Angle: The winner of this match would have the key for the upcoming cage match. There were a few sickening bumps especially when Angle was thrown of a ladder, it looked like he could have broken his neck. This feud up to this point was unbelievably good. However a better match was to come very soon at the next PPV. Anderson got the win after choking Angle with his silver medallion, then reaching for the key to gain the advantage.
18.TNA iMPACT December 9th
TNA KNOCKOUT STEEL CAGE GRUDGE MATCH
Mickie James defeated Tara: Do you want a real woman?s wrestling match, well look no further then this. A really good steel cage between two very well known and really good athletics. Tara tore her ligaments in her arm after the match that was how brutal and brilliant it was. This feud between them stemmed back from there WWE days. Tara won the battle at the last PPV but after a lou-thez press of the top of the cage and the pin-fall,Mickie had won the war.
17. Slammiversary
TOP 10 CAREER THREATENING MATCH
Kurt Angle defeated Kazarian: What a way to start kick off your 8th anniversary show with a epic encounter between these two great wrestling mat experts. I really enjoyed this match and Kazarain and Kurt Angle worked really, the attendance gave their appreciation my giving the usual ?this is wrestling?, ?this is amazing?. If you haven?t watched this match I would recommend in doing so because it impressed me a lot.
16. Sacrifice
TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE MATCH
Rob Van Dam defeated A.J. Styles w/Ric Flair to retain the TNA World Heavyweight title: By this point I thought RVD?s reign had been not the best and I was rooting for a A.J. Styles in, however by now this PPV had one only previous match and in someway this is a dream match. For 20minutes it had some really good moves from both men and in the end Styles went for a superplex, but RVD countered and dropped him face-first on the top rope! RVD hit the frog splash and pinned Styles to retain the TNA championship! It was a 25 minute match but RVD is not the wrestler he once was
.
15. Final Resolution
TNA TAG TEAM TITLE ?FULL METAL MAYHEM? MATCH
The Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley & Chris Sabin) defeated Generation Me (Max & Jeremy Buck) to retain the TNA World Tag Team titles: They have had so many battles in the past yer its hard to rate them but this was absolutely incredible, stunts involving tables/ladder/chair spots. You got to see it to believe it! It was a pure x-division style match and the crowd were enjoying every minute of it. You need to watch these teams, they are two incredibly young and brilliant athletes. Amazing stuff.

14. Final Resolution
TNA TELEVISION TITLE MATCH
Douglas Williams defeated A.J. Styles to win the TNA Television title: Incredible, wow, amazing what brilliant match. Williams hit the styles clash for the win and title. I was shocked Williams actually won, but apart from that it was the best match on the PPV by far, just beating the Full Metal Mayhem. British wrestlers can wrestle and are bloody good at it!
13.Slammiversary
Black Machismo? Jay Lethal defeated ?The Phenomenal? A.J. Styles w/Ric Flair: This match reminded me of the old x-division days and boy it did not disappoint. A really good showing by both men and showed what a difference if you give them time to do their moves. There is not much to say because again you need to see it to believe it, Lethal hit the win after a northern-lights suplex for the pin-fall and Ric Flair was livid.
12. Bound For Glory
Jeff Hardy defeated Kurt Angle and Mr. Anderson to win the vacant TNA World Heavyweight title: Apart from the NWO revealing at the end, this match was very impressive. All these 3 had bouts against one another over the last year, however this time it was triple threat. Hardy got the win after he hit Anderson and Angle with the crutch.
11.TNA Impact January 4th
TNA WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE
AJ Styles defeated Kurt Angle: Biggest night in TNA history and they put on the biggest main-event in TNA iMPACT history, and what can I say except for ?this was awesome?. A incredible free-tv showing between the two, there is something about them which clicks and on a historic night in TNA they put on a even greater performance with Styles retaining the title after a styles-clash setting up a rematch at Genesis.
10. Bound For Glory
TNA WORLD TAG TEAM TITLE GRUDGE MATCH
The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley) defeated Generation Me (Max & Jeremy Buck) to retain the TNA World Tag Team titles: When TNA do a PPV away from Orlando,it makes a big difference. The crowd were on fire during this match. A really impressive tag team match to start of your biggest PPV of the year with the Guns getting the pinfall after a series of amazing spots on one another. It was a especially good without any gimmick matches involved.
9. Slammiversary 2010
The Enigmatic Assholes (Mr. Anderson & Jeff Hardy) defeated Beer Money Inc. (Robert Roode & James Storm): What a really good tag team between these 4,it was pretty rough and tough match with both opponents hitting hard on eachother, the buildup was really great and the output was well done and executed. The assholes went crazy after the match!
8. Destination X
Ultimate X for the No 1 Contenders for the Tag Team Titles
Motor City Machine Guns defeated Generation Me:They did some really fun high-speed spots at the beginning of this match. They went into a series of dangerous but entertaining spots, causing the fans to chant ?This Is Awesome!? High speed. High impact, pure classic between the two.
7. Victory Road
TNA TAG TEAM TITLE TOURNAMENT FINALS
The Motor City Machine Guns (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley) defeated Beer Money Inc. (Robert Roode & James Storm): This is what tag team wrestling is about. Throughout this match it w spur entertainment and unbelievable chain wrestling between the4. These two teams click with one another and this was a really good match. It first ended in a double pin, however moments later the Guns got the pinfall to have their first TNA Tag Team title run. A pure classic and PPV stealer, yet there was one more to come.
6. Lockdown
Team Hogan(Abyss, Jeff Jarrett, Rob Van Dam & Jeff Hardy) defeated Team Flair(Sting,Desmond Wolfe & Beer Money Inc( Robert Roode & James Storm): Two legends had two teams represent them in a lethal lockdown match. The build-up to this match was really great with wheelchair Flair having some great promo?s. Some really good spots with Abyss chokeslamming Sting onto the tacks, Jeff Jarrett spearing Beer Money through the cage door and on top of the steel cage Jeff Hardy hitting the Swanton bomb onto James Storm through a table. Ric Flair then came out to try and get the HOF ring until he was attacked by Hogan and Bischoff were he took a bumpb busted and shirtless onto the tacks. Abyss then hit the blackhole slam on Desmond Wolfe for the win.
5.? Before the Glory? October 7th
LAST MAN STANDING MATCH
Mick Foley defeated ?The Nature Boy? Ric Flair: A week previously these 2 hac one of the greatest in-ring confrontations we had seen in avery long time, they decided to battle it out one last time in a last man standing match. A brutal brawl between two greats where tables, barbied wire-bats and chairs were used. At the end both of them were bleeding heavily,Mick Foley picked up the win. However it was a great way for both to finally fight each other for the last time. Mick Foley looked very well and it seemed he had lost some weight going into his final bout ?ten years? after retiring.
4. Genesis
TNA World Heavyweight Title
AJ Styles v Kurt Angle: the first title defence in a 4sided ring, the start of the Flair/Angle alliance, however before all of that we saw another classic encounter between these two men better than the one on January 4th. This was vintage Angle and Styles; it had some real good action
3. No Surrender
SEMI-FINAL OF THE TNA TITLE TOURNAMENT
Kurt Angle vs. Jeff Hardy ended in a No Contest: I didn?t like the finish with the additional 10 minutes, however considering these 2 have never met on a PPV before they put on a worth performance that will be remembered for a long time. It was a really good match in which ankle-locks, twists of fate?s,swantom bombs, side effects were all used so many times yet no winner could occur. A absolute classic, and it was never the main event!
2. ?Whole F?in Show August 12th
BEST OF FIVE SERIES FINAL ? 2/3 FALLS FOR THE TNA TAG TEAM TITLES
The Motor City Machins Guns (Chris Sabin & Alex Shelley) defeated Beer Money (Robert Roode & James Strom) to retain the TNA World Tag Team titles: To see this live in person, I cannot say how unbelievable good this match was. These 4 men put the best matches of the career and they duly delivered, it?s amazing what tag teams can do and well for a free-tv match it was unbelievably good. I can?t say how brilliant this match was. The fans chanted ?this is awesome!? and ?this is wrestling!? throughout the whole match and indeed it was.
1.Lockdown
Steel Cage Match
Kurt Angle defeated Mr Anderson: Matches like this one makes you proud to be a wrestling fan. The build up to this must watch match, was simply phenomenal and well the match was breathtaking and spectacular. The cocky Mr. Anderson v revenge seeking Kurt Angle. Kurt Angle did a crazy move when he laid out Anderson and climbed up the cage to perform an intensely insane moonsault off the top of the cage!! The crowd went freaking insane. Mr. Anderson tried to sneak out however Angle caught him once more and choked him out with his silver medallion chain. Anderson lost consciousness. Angle spat on him and then kicked him in the crotch before walking out of the cage. Amazing intensely dramatic match! This was clearly match of the year for TNA. Everything about it was unbelievable good and it would give HBK v Undertaker from Wrestlemania 26 a run for its money.
